November 7, 2011 MeetingAbout the ProgramSpecial music will be presented by the BBSU Chorus led by Richard Freeman. Our program this evening will feature Dr. Andrew E. Smith, Director of the UNH Survey Center and Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Smith has entitled his presentation “Political Polling & The Presidential Nomination Process”. About the Speaker
Dr. Smith's research has focused on elections, public opinion, and the presidential nomination process. He has published extensively on elections, survey methodology, and the New Hampshire Primary Election. He has been Director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center since 1999 and is nationally known for public opinion polling. He has conducted political polling for the Boston Globe, USA Today, and the Philadelphia Inquirer; as well as, Fox News, CNN, WMUR (Manchester, NH), WCVB (Boston, MA), and KYW (Philadelphia, PA). Prior to coming to New Hampshire, Dr. Smith was an adjunct professor at the Department of Mass Communications at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Dr. Smith earned his undergraduate, masters, and doctorate degrees at the University of Cincinnati. Andy also served in research positions in Cincinatti, Ohio with the Institute for Policy Research. |
