About the Presenters

S. Mark Heim is the Samuel Abbott Professor of Christian Theology at Andover Newton Theological School (ANTS). He is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A. 1972), Andover Newton Theological School (M.Div 1976) and the Boston College - Andover Newton Theological School joint doctoral program in systematic theology (Ph.D. 1982). He joined the Andover Newton faculty in 1982. He is married to Melissa Lewis Heim and they have two children. He has been deeply involved in issues of religious pluralism and Christian ecumenism. He is the author of Is Christ the Only Way? (1985), Salvations: Truth adn Difference in Religion (1995), The Depth of the Riches: A Trinitarian of the Cross (2006) and several edited volumes. He has taught and studied in India and lectured widely in China, Europe, Thailand and the Pacific Islands. An ordained American Baptist minister and former pastor of a New Hampshire church, Heim represents his denomination on the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council and World Council of Churches.

Robert W. Pasmino is the Valeria Stone Professor of Christian Education at ANTS where he has served since 1986. He is the author of several books, including Foundational Issues in Christian Education (2008), So What Makes Our Teaching Christian? (2008), Doing Theological Research (2009), and God our Teacher (2001). He holds a B.A. from Bucknell University, a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University in cooperation with Union Seminary. He is ordained in the American Baptist Churches and serves as a national consultant for the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion.

Sarah B. Drummond is the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs at ANTS. Dr. Drummond was elected to her position in December 2010 and took office in January 2011. She has been on the faculty since July 2005 and served as Associate Dean from July 2007 to December 2010. She is ordained in the United Church of Christ and holds her ministerial standing in the Massachusetts Conference of the UCC.

About the Music

Gregory Mobley is Professor of Christian Bible and came to ANTS in 1997. He is the author of three books and many articles about the Old Testament. Mobley is active in Christian-Jewish relations in both Massachusetts and especially, here on campus through our partnership with Hebrew College. Mobley is an ordained American Baptist minister. A native of Kentucky, Mobley loves the country soulfulness of Appalachia's musical heritage and is grateful that pros like Joe Cleveland and Chris Lanzara have joined him to translate his amateurish ballads into something we hope you will enjoy.

Christopher Lanzera is a recent graduate of ANTS, now serving as the Chaplain of Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire. Before persuing his call to ministry in the United Church of Christ, he worked in the legal profession and performed music in churches and other venues.

Joseph Cleveland is a Presidential Scholar and CIRCLE Fellow in his second year at ANTS. Before deciding to follow a path toward ministry in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, he taught college courses in literature and academic writing and was very active in presenting and performing folk music.
